Best practices to safely open during the COVID-19 pandemic
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS CHECKLIST
-
Employees working in customer-facing areas must wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times.
-
Frequently contacted surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every 2 hours during operation.
-
Retailers must assist customers in maintaining 6 feet physical distance while shopping or in line. If 6 feet cannot be maintained at the checkout lanes then only allow alternate lanes to be open.

-
Hand sanitizer must be easily accessible.
-
Contactless ordering & payment is strongly encouraged.
-
For personal care & grooming services, work stations must be at least 6 feet apart with staggered appointments to minimize congregation and allow for disinfection between each client. Names and contact information with date and time of services must be maintained.
-
Face coverings should be provided or required for clients and must be worn during the service. Limit services to only those that can be completed without the clients removing their face covering.

-
Provide clear communication and signage for physical distancing in areas where individuals may congregate, especially at entrances, in seating areas, and in check-out lines.

-
Test your workforce for COVID-19 (strongly encouraged).

-
If any such business cannot adhere to these requirements, it must close.

-
All businesses must remain in compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
