Best practices to safely open during the COVID-19 pandemic
RESPONSIBLE RESTAURANT CHECKLIST

Restaurants may allow parties up to 25 persons or less whether seated together or across multiple tables.

All seating may be indoor and outdoor spaced at least 6 feet apart. If tables are not movable, parties must be seated at least 6 feet apart.​​

Patrons may wait for takeout or for seated dining in a designated area if 6 feet physical distance can be maintained.

Live musicians must remain at least 10 feet from patrons and staff.
​

Bar seats and congregation areas of restaurants must be closed to patrons except for through-traffic. Non-bar seating may be used for seating if located at least 6 feet between parties at tables.

Facial coverings over the mouth and nose are required for customer-facing employees. ​​​

Alcoholic beverage service on premises shall be suspended after 10PM each night.

All dining and congregation areas shall be closed between 12AM and 5AM.

Self-service may be utilized provided a trained staff can continuously monitor the area with materials or utensils changed hourly. Barriers such as gloves or deli tissue must be used when touching self-service items.​

Frequently contacted surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every 60 minutes during operation. Tabletops, chairs, and credit card/bill folders must be cleaned between patrons.

Use of disposable menus is suggested.

Provide clear communication and signage for physical distancing in areas where individuals may congregate, especially at entrances, in seating areas, and in check-out lines.

Test your workforce for COVID-19 (strongly encouraged).

Hand sanitizer must be easily accessible.

Contactless ordering & payment is strongly encouraged.
